Believing that we are singing the same song.

ironman
And because I was a gazillionaire, and I liked doin’ it so much, I cut that grass for free – Forrest Gump (1994)
Finally landed on a decent landscape. The atmosphere feels good, the population seems friendly. I just hope that we are all breathing the same air.
Anyway, on the flipside, I was diagnosed with mild anemia based on the recent health screening. There’s nothing good about it, but I am just hoping that this is the underlying cause of my daily fatigue, not something else.
A lot of times people see things as they are. And I don’t blame them for this. Because that is what humans are: we are shallow beings.
The doctor prescribed several vitamins and enzymes for me, one of which is iron, hence the title of this post. Let’s just wait and see if things can get better.

I feel like we are inheriting a hot potato – YT (2011)
from hero to zero
Life is like a slingshot game at times: the slingshot is life itself; we are the rock.
The only difference? Life plays the slingshot upward facing the sky. That is why at times we felt invincible; we felt as if we are on top of the world and above the sky, as if sky is the limit. Next thing you know, we are about to slam the ground.
patience is a virtue
At the moment, I really want to start walking again. With my right foot. But the doctor said that I can’t just yet.
Yes of course I have the patience to wait for another 2 weeks, but oh my, it felt so dismal to see my right foot getting smaller and smaller.
all the way into the in between
Turning myself into a cold hard brick. Let’s see how tough I am and how tough I can be. The difference of those really matters at the moment.
enough is enough
Twice injured, twice fractured. Statistic does not lie. I quit.
actions > words. period.
I laugh at the end, though. HAHAH.

Can people change?
Some might say yes, the rest might say no. Some will choose to stand in between.
Well, as a matter of fact, I do believe that people could change. It takes courage, it takes times, and it takes realization, but it is possible. But let me tell you one thing: people are often mistaken as to that which constitutes change and which does not, because life presents us with various situations and conditions that are very different, so different that we can be forced to react and take action differently in different circumstances. We are being stretched.
How many times have we seen someone who seems so kind and purely altruistic, and then runs for president the following day? And then we vote for that very someone. We vote because we see things as they are; we believe he is a purely generous soul, and thus conclude that things just cannot go wrong under his/her term of office. The next thing we know, he/she started to act and make decisions which are questionable. People start to ask questions like ‘How can he/she do such thing?’ And then people think that this very someone, the one that we had voted for, has changed.
I refuse to believe that that is the case. I think people do not change so easily, let alone in a short period of time. I believe that very someone already had a character which we had not known previously. Why hadn’t we known earlier? Because he/she is just not presented with the options to act and/or make decisions the way he/she does when he/she is presented with a certain situation.
I am not being skeptical. I do not believe that people change easily. Hokay, let’s face it! Give and take, I truly think people can change +/- 15%. You think 15% is too little? Yeah I could not agree more. But hey, maybe that 15% is what we need.
learn to crawl
I feel weird. Wait, I don’t think ‘weird’ is the right word. Maybe ‘confused’ is. But I don’t feel confused, too.
I just don’t know how I feel.
I am sure each and everyone of you has been in the same situation before. The moment when one of your friends or acquaintances is happy for something, but at that very same moment, you know that another friend or acquaintances of yours is in deep shit. This is how I am feeling now. This is what this is.
I can only pray the best for both worlds.
static cling
All these while we have been taught to forgive and forget, or forgive but not forget. Yeah whatever… Yaya papaya… Bottom line is, we are taught to forgive.
But, what if…
What if instead of learning to shield ourselves against anger, or pretend that we are not angry but (not so) deep inside we are ready to let out an emotional burst anytime, we are taught to just express ourselves? The moment you are angry or sad or disappointed with someone, you are supposed to vent your anger to him/her, and let him/her know what you think of him/her and what makes you angry.
If you feel like punching him/her in the face, do it.
If you feel like spitting some mocking words, spit it out.
There are some benefits to it:
1. People learn to think first before they say or do something.
2. There is no pretending
3. If both above-mentioned benefits fail to prevail, people will hurt and kill each other. This way, the world’s population would not grow at such a tremendous pace. Imagine what benefits the slowing down of world’s population growth can bring? More rooms to maneuver for job-seekers, reduced social stress, and the list goes on?
WHAT IF ALL THESE OCCUR SOMEDAY? Think…
